Important facts your interviewer needs to know about you

You might know the common interview questions that your interviewer can ask during an interview in english. However, apart from the questions, you must express certain, key points if you hope to make the best impression.

This is because your interviewer is looking for certain information and there are certain things he or she needs to know. So let’s talk about what you need to tell your interviewer during the interview. If you wish to learn more phrases that you can use, you can also read about useful expressions to impress your job interviewer.

1. You expect to grow in your role

Employers are looking for people who are always open to learning and seeking more responsibility. They want to know you have the motivation required to improve your skills and offer more to your team.

Tell them this when they ask
“Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”
“What are your expectations for this position?”

Useful phrases:

“I’m always looking out for professional development opportunities such as…”
“I often read/watch industry publications such as [name specific sites] to stay up-to-date on the latest trends.”
“In the future, I hope to [insert what you would like to achieve] so that I can continue to help the company grow.”

2. You have the experience for the job

Once you’re in the interview, it’s your main task to show the interviewer that you are capable of performing the job and will bring your great experience to the role. Remember to reference your past accomplishments (be specific) and how your skills and success will apply to your new role. Show them your value using strong stories and examples.

Tell them this when they ask
“Tell me about your experience”
“Why should we choose you for this position?”

Useful Phrases:

“What I can offer to this position is…”
“My past experience makes me well-suited for this position because…”
“In my previous job(s) I was responsible for….”

3. You want to work at this company

The difference between getting the job or not can be small. It can be as small as forgetting to express that you would be excited to work at the company. Take advantage of your job interview to show your enthusiasm for the company by mentioning specific details. In addition, don’t forget to say very clearly at the end that you want to work there.

Tell them this when they ask
“Why do you want to work here?”
At the end of the interview

Useful Phrases:

Interviewers often want to know what you would do to help the company if you are given the position. As a candidate, it’s important for you to be able to show them that you have a plan to execute once you’re hired. You don’t need to have all the details, but be ready to show that you have ideas and intentions.

Tell them this when they ask
“What will you do first if you are offered the position?”
“What do you hope to achieve in this role?”

Useful phrases:
